Little Guido

an ECW legend and a cornerstone of the Full Blooded Italians… Little Guido, also known as Nunzio, is here in ACW.
FBI member and ECW legend Little Guido aka Nunzio

Little Guido has a chip on his shoulder. You would too if your nickname was the “Sicilian Shooter.” Anchoring the Full Blooded Italians tag team, the capo of the FBI, Guido is as scrappy as he is tenacious. Known for his short temper when he feels disrespected, this middleweight deserves respect for his accomplishments in the sport.

With 2 reigns as an ECW World Tag Team Champion and background fighting in the UWFi, Guido is tough as nails and knows a thing or two about extreme environments. Now the technical Italiano is introducing a new soldier as a part of the famed FBI familia in his cousin Ray Jaz.

Guido started training in 1991 in the US by Mike Masters & Gino Caruso at their New Jersey school. Shortly afterwards he began doing shows for the Savoldi’s IWCCW & the earliest incarnations of Eastern Championship Wrestling. It was during this time Japanese promotion UWFi arranged a tryout for the wrestlers from his school. He was the only one who passed the tryout.

He then began his training under the late Billy Robinson. Billy would train him in catch wrestling at the UWF Snake Pit. The same place that Kazushi Sakuraba received training.

The initial training was grueling. It wasn’t training as much as getting stretched & taking a beating. After three months of this he decided to quit. With Billy being old school this was all just a test to see how much he could take. So they began to take it easy on him & taught him the principles of catch wrestling.

Most of 1995 was spent training & working for UWFi with occasional indy shows in New Jersey. While in UWFi he rarely won but he was able to have matches with top notch competitors like Nobuhiko Takada, Kazushi Sakuraba & Masahito Kakihara.

He continued to work with UWFi into 1996 however the promotion was in it’s dying days. After the NJPW angle had ended they did a similar angle with WAR to lesser success. His fortunes began to turnaround in ECW. In April of that year he was christened Little Guido & paired with JT Smith as The Full Blooded Italians. That gimmick being the one that would come to define the rest of his career & eventually lead him to the WWE.
