The match featured hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer stepping up to challenge the reigning champion, Thom Latimer, in a brutal, hard-fought contest.
Latimer brought his trademark intensity, but the battle took a dramatic turn when NWA allies Joe Ocasio and NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion Alex Taylor stormed the ring. The reinforcements unleashed a vicious beatdown on Dreamer, tilting the odds heavily in favor of Latimer.
